☁️Cloud Account Setup

Learn how to set up your Stow Cloud account, invite your team, configure custom domains, and generate API keys.

Before you can start using Stow, you'll need to set up your Stow Cloud account. This gives you isolated, tenant-specific access and enables secure, customizable file storage for your team or product.

Why set up a cloud account?

  • Tenant isolation for security and data separation.

  • Ability to invite and manage team members.

  • Configure a custom domain for your file URLs (e.g., cdn.yourcompany.com).

  • Manage API keys and permissions.

Steps to set up your account

  1. Create your Stow Cloud account

    1. Sign up at stow.io (or your Stow deployment URL).

    2. Provide your organization or project name.

  2. Verify your email

    1. Check your inbox and confirm your email address to activate your account.

  3. Invite your team (optional)

    1. Add teammates to collaborate and manage file uploads together.

    2. Assign roles (e.g., Admin, Developer, Viewer).

  4. Configure your custom domain (optional)

    1. Set up a custom domain for serving files (e.g., cdn.yourcompany.com).

    2. Update DNS records as instructed in your dashboard.

  5. Generate API keys

    1. Create API keys in your account settings.

    2. Use these keys to authenticate Stow API calls securely.

Next step

Once your account is set up and you have your API keys, you're ready to upload your first file and start serving it immediately.
